Ellen MacArthur member of Club of Rome

Circular economy on the global agenda? Yes! With Ellen MacArthur as a full member of the Club of Rome we will accelerate the transition.

Today the Ellen MacArthur Foundation announced that Ellen MacArthur is now a full member of the Club of Rome. The Club of Rome is a think tank founded in 1968, containing of ”a group of world citizens, sharing a common concern for the future of humanity”, lead by Anders Wijkman (Sweden), Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker (Germany), and vice-president, Dr. Roberto Peccei.

To become a full member of the Club of Rome is the highest level of recognition granted by the prestigious group. Other full members are Walter Stahel, and Mikhail Gorbachev.

I think that adding Ellen MacArthur to this group of people will put the philosophy of a circular economy on a global agenda and bring new ideas to the table. A day o salubrate!
